About Matthew
A husband, father, and small business owner, Matthew Bierlein is a conservative Republican. With experience in manufacturing, he first entered into a life of service to his community as a member of the Tuscola County Board of Commissioners for 6 years, serving as the Vice-Chair and co-Chair of the finance committee. While being a commissioner, he served as President of the Michigan Association of Counties and was on the board of directors of the National Association of County officers. Most recently working for State Senator Kevin Daley as his in-district director, Matthew worked tirelessly meeting the needs of constituents. Service-driven and experienced, he has the passion and drive to now take the concerns of the region to Lansing in efforts to continue to fight for the future of generations to come.

"As your next State Representative, I will work tirelessly to bring a voice from our region to Lansing. We need leaders in the State Capitol who will focus on helping families. With three small children of my own, I have a passion to fight for our area so future generations will have both the opportunity, but also the desire, to remain here and raise families of their own in this great State. As a native of the area and a small business owner myself, I understand the region's unique character and its agricultural, natural, and cultural assets. I CHOSE to stay here, and it will be my honor to convey our area’s common-sense approach to policies that affect all of us in Lansing."
